Wesley Eagle started Eagle Eye Woodskills six years ago nestled within a large walnut orchard with few neighbors. In this small property the natural environment impacted everything. While sawdust was flying, his goats were playing, his dogs were tracking rabbits, flocks of songbirds were singing, migrating hawks were flying overhead, Red Fox were watching from afar. Eventually he took notice of them too, and a desire grew within him to express the living quality of nature through his work.

 

Overtime he began to see how often clients surrounded themselves with factory made objects built overseas in third world countries, often consisting of chemically made materials like plastic. Though very affordable materials, these objects truly lack the spirit and presence that wood provides and it was clear that just one wooden piece could positively alter the entire feeling of the clients room. After experiencing the power wood had to change the feeling inside our homes, Wes' deeper intention became to convey the grace and effortlessness of the living energy in nature through bespoke pieces of wood. ​​
